Which type of creative are you?

There are many different models and systems for classifying creative styles. For our work, we use an approach that distinguishes four common types of creative thinking. Take the quick test and discover yours.

1In the kitchen, you like to:

Recreate yummy dishes you tasted elsewhere. Follow your inspiration to come up with new recipes. Combine different recipes to make them fit your skill – and leftovers. Choose a recipe and experiment with it until the result tastes just right.

2Your printer has jammed and you threw away the manual. What now?

You take it apart piece by piece until you manage to retrieve the crumpled sheet. You watch an online tutorial – it’s not the same model but close enough, so you figure it out. You find a way to work without the printout after all. Depends, whatever seems easiest according to the situation.

Fish for ideas by asking them sneaky questions, consult friends and colleagues and browse the internet and shops. Mentally go through all options, analyse what made them happy in the past, assess their needs, your budget etc. Don’t worry about it: you’ll find something when the moment is right. Ask yourself how you want to make them feel.

Identify the single most important feature for you and decide based on that. Try to get hands-on experience with both models in a shop. Read lots of different reviews and collect opinions and advice. Choose the one you like more, even if you are not sure why.
