Alexia works at Cartoonbase as an animator and motion designer. It’s a challenge to find something she doesn’t know how to do or can’t learn in less than one hour.
Alexia studied animation at Haute Ecole Albert Jacquard and cinema at ENSAV la Cambre, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She has been nominated twice at the Clermont Ferrand International Short Film Festival. It took Alexia more than 20 viewings to find the right apartment.

Catherine studied Economics at the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium and spent 5 years at KPMG as an auditor. There is a rumour doing the rounds in the office about her being in a bad mood once but nobody could confirm it.

Elsa works at Cartoonbase as an illustrator and graphic designer. She always pretends she does not know how to draw but in a few clicks she creates settings, characters or full universes that are always simple, fun and beautiful.
Elsa studied infographics and illustration at the Haute Ecole Albert Jacquard and has already illustrated many national advertising campaigns. She always has a 5-week plan worked out for the food she is going to eat.
Ester works at Cartoonbase as an illustrator. Pencils, brushes, pen, markers, tablet . . . give her anything and she will empty it before you can say “knife”, drawing in an astonishing variety of styles, always with her own little pinch of madness.
Ester studied in the rather unique “Bandes dessinées” (comic strip) section at ESA Saint Luc. Prior to joining Cartoonbase, Ester worked as an art teacher and also wrote some short graphical stories. She grew up and learned to draw in a small village in the middle of the Italian Alps.
Etienne works at Cartoonbase as an animator and motion designer. He also is kind enough to do some illustrations when he has a little bit of time between two projects. He loves to be surprised and challenged when the illustrators want him to bring their crackpot ideas to life.
Etienne has worked for big productions for TV series as well as for small independent music groups to create their video clips. He also pairs his T-shirt with his mood every day.
Guillaume works at Cartoonbase as an animator and motion designer. His taste for sleek and subtle motion is only superseded by his endless patience and perfectionism.
Guillaume studied animation at Haute Ecole Albert Jacquard where he graduated Cum Laude and then worked on VFX projects for feature films prior to joining Cartoonbase. It is said that there is nothing Guillaume doesn’t know, but we couldn’t check.

Juan Mendez works at Cartoonbase as a creative consultant, cartoonist and illustrator. When he is not sure about a topic, Juan will keep peppering you with questions until he is sure he can realize the perfect drawing. And when he is sure he can do the perfect drawing he will try a ton of interpretations of it until he is truly satisfied with the result.
Juan’s very wide pallet of styles allows him to capture any message and adapt his own special interpretation of it to the target audience. Juan always seems tired because… well… he is always tired.
Luc de Brabandere is the founder of Cartoonbase and a BCG (Boston Consulting Group) fellow. He is also a member of the faculty of the Louvain School of Management and of the Ecole Centrale Paris.
At CartoonBase, he makes sure projects are based on a useful, rigorous and original concept that will align perceptions in the right direction.
For more than 20 years, Luc has been leading strategic seminars with executive committees and management of companies and various organizations. He helps them develop new strategic visions, new products and services, and long-term scenarios to prepare for the future. Luc loves wheeled luggage because it is both a great example of bisociation and a natural extension of his right arm.

Marc is known to be a calm person . . . except when he’s playing the drums.
Martin Saive is creative director at Cartoonbase. Armed with his pencils, he travels the world to bring the Cartoonbase touch to big organizations and grand projects. His execution speed allows him to instantly bring ideas to life in the colourful world of beautiful and efficient pictograms he cherishes.
Martin makes sure every Cartoonbase project meets his “creative simplicity” standards, both conceptually and aesthetically. (If you want to know more about creative simplicity, have a peek at his TEDx talk)
Martin recently took part in the amazing Solar Impulse Round-the-World Tour where he conceptualized and realized fun and new ways to spread the Solar Impulse message all around the globe. If there is anything that Martin hates, it is ty pos.
